 F. Install the Aileron Control Wheel Drum
 S 224-019
 (1)  Do this task if you install used bolts, bushings, bearings or other components: "Aileron Control Wheel Drum Inspection/Check" (AMM 27-11-51/601).

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT IT IS THE SELF-LOCKING SHEAR NUT AND NOT THE
_______ TENSION TYPE SELF-LOCKING NUT THAT CONNECTS THE FORK TO THE DRUM. IF AN INCORRECT NUT IS INSTALLED, THE CAPTAIN'S CONTROL COLUMN CAN BECOME DISENGAGED FROM THE FORK. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  Make sure the fork is connected to the drum with the self-locking shear nut.
 NOTE: You must see a completed bolt chamfer at the end the nut.

Do this task: "Roll Force Transducer Installation" (AMM
 22-11-11/401).

AIRPLANES WITH THE AILERON FORCE LIMITER;
 Do this task: "Aileron Force Limiter Installation"
 (AMM 22-11-13/401).

 (5)  
Lubricate the cables AA and AB with grease.

 (6)  
Install the control wheel drum (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Connect the cables AA and AB to the control wheel drum.

 (b)  
Install the cable guards with the screws, washers and nuts.

 (c)  
Put the ends of the cables ACBA and ACBB through the cutouts, and at the same time, put the control wheel drum in its position.

 (d)  
Install four bolts, washers and nuts.

 (e)  
Connect the cables ACBA, ACBB, AA, and AB to their turnbuckles.

 (f)  
Tighten the turnbuckles to remove loose cable but keep the cable tension at zero.

 (g)  
Connect the electrical connector of the roll force transducer.

 (h)  
AIRPLANES WITH THE AILERON FORCE LIMITER; Connect the electrical connector of the aileron force limiter.

 (i)  
Install the control cabin air duct: 1) Connect the ducts with a minimum of 1/2-inch overlap at

 each end. 2) Connect the mounting brackets. 3) Clean around the areas where the ducts connect with
 cleaning solvent. 4) While you pull the tape tight and smooth, apply two layers of the tape at the joints.

Do this task to connect and adjust the landing gear control cables: "Landing Gear Control System Adjustemnt" (Ref 32-31-00/501).

Do this task to connect and adjust the landing gear brake control cables: "Hydraulic Brake System Adjustemnt" (AMM 32-41-00/501).

Do this task to connect and adjust the speed brake control cables "Speed Brake Control System Adjustment" (AMM 27-62-00/501).

 Remove all the rigging pins (Fig. 402).

 Do a check to make sure the aileron trim system is at the center:

 (a)  
Install the rigging pin A/S-15 in the aileron trim mechanism.

 Put the captain's and the first officer's aileron control wheels in the neutral position.

 With a clamp, attach a straightedge across the top ends of each of the control wheel (Fig. 403).

 NOTE: One end of the first officer's control wheel cannot be

 farther than 0.20 inch from the straightedge.
