SPOILER SHUTOFF VALVE - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. There is one task in this procedure; A functional test of the spoiler shutoff valves.
B. The modular package for the hydraulic system A is installed in the left main wheel well. The modular package for the hydraulic system B is installed in the right main wheel well. The spoiler shutoff valve is installed on the left side of the modular packages.

(1)
Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
(a)
P6-2 Panel
1) SHUTOFF VALVES - SPOILER

Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems A and B: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (AMM 29-15-00/201).

Do the test of the shutoff valves:
(a)
Make sure the two SPOILER switches on the flight controls panel, P5-3, are in the ON position.
(b)
Make sure the manual override lever of the two spoiler shutoff valves are in POSITION 1.
(c)
Move one of the two control wheels to remove all of the air from the hydraulic system.
(d)
Make sure there is no leakage of hydraulic fluid at the modular packages.
(e)
Move the control wheel to make sure the flight spoilers (spoilers No. 2, 3, 6 and 7) operate correctly.

Put the two SPOILER switches in the OFF position.
(g)
Make sure the manual override lever of the two spoiler shutoff valves are in POSITION 2.
(h)
Move the control wheel to make sure that the flight spoilers (spoilers No. 2, 3, 6 and 7) do not operate.
