 (a)  Install the rig pin A/S-3.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE NOT TO TURN THE CONTROL WHEEL MORE THAN 12 +/- 1
_______ DEGREES FROM THE NEUTRAL POSITION WITH THE A/S-3 RIG PIN INSTALLED IN THE AILERON LEVER POGO AND STOP CONTROL WHEEL MOVEMENT AS SOON AS YOU NOTICE THE INITIAL MOVEMENT OF THE RIGHT AA AND AB CABLES. OTHERWISE, RIVET SHEARING IN THE SPOILER INPUT SHAFT CAN OCCUR.
 (b)  
Turn the first officer's control wheel in the two directions.

 (c)  
Monitor the right AA and AB cables for the initial movement.

 (d)  
When the initial movement occurs, the control wheel must be turned 12 | 1 degrees from the neutral position.

 (e)  
Remove the rig pin A/S-3.

 (20) Measure the force necessary to operate the transfer mechanism:
 (a)  Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems A and B:  "Aileron
 Hydraulic Systems A and B Pressurization" (Ref 27-11-00/201).
 (b)  Hold the first officer's aileron control wheel in the neutral
 position.
 (c)  Turn the captain's aileron control wheel clockwise from the
 neutral position.
 1)  Make sure the necessary force to initially turn the
 captain's control wheel is not more than 436 pound-inches
 torque or 67 pounds.
 (d)  Continue to turn the control wheel through 75 degrees of
 travel.
 1)  Make sure the necessary force is not more than 676
 pound-inches torque or 104 pounds.
 (e)  Do steps (b) thru (d) in the counterclockwise direction for the
 captain's aileron control wheel.
 NOTE:____ When you release the captain's aileron control wheel, it
 will go back to the neutral position (|1 degree).
 (f)  Do this task to depressurize hydraulic systems A and B:
 "Aileron Hydraulic Systems A and B Depressurization"
 (Ref 27-11-00/201).

 (21)
 Measure the movement of the captain's and the first officer's aileron control wheels:

 (a)  
Turn the captain's aileron control wheel clockwise through full travel.

 (b)  
Make sure the captain's and the first officer's aileron control wheels turn a minimum of 105 degrees clockwise.

 (c)  
Do the procedure again but in the counterclockwise direction from the neutral position.

 (22)
 Compare the movement of the aileron control wheel with the movement of the aileron surface:

 (a)  
Turn the captain's aileron control wheel more than 87 degrees counterclockwise from the neutral position.

 (b)  
Make sure the left aileron moves up and the right aileron moves down in the specified limit (Fig. 405).

 (c)  
Turn the captain's aileron control wheel more than 87 degrees clockwise from the neutral position.


 NOTE: When you turn the wheel past 90-95 degrees, the control
____ wheel forces will increase.
 (d)  Make sure the left aileron moves down and the right aileron moves up in the specified limit (Fig. 405).
