(a) Turn the control wheel clockwise until the aileron starts to move. 1) Make sure the necessary force is not more than 220
pound-inches torque or 33.8 pounds.

Continue to turn the control wheel to 20 degrees.
1) Make sure the necessary force is not more than 220 pound-inches torque or 33.8 pounds.
(c)
Continue to turn the control wheel to 40 degrees.
1) Make sure the necessary force is not more than 256 pound-inches torque or 39.4 pounds.
(d)
Continue to turn the control wheel to 75 degrees.
1) Make sure the necessary force is not more than 310 pound-inches torque or 47.7 pounds.
(e)
Do steps (a) thru (d) again in the counterclockwise direction.

Compare the movement of the aileron control wheel to the movement of the aileron surface:
(a)
Turn the captain's aileron control wheel more than 87 degrees counterclockwise from the neutral position.
(b)
Make sure the left aileron moves up and the right aileron moves down in the specified limits (Fig. 405).
(c)
Turn the captain's aileron control wheel more than 87 degrees clockwise from the neutral position.
(d)
Make sure the left aileron moves down and the right aileron moves up in the specified limits (Fig. 405).
