Adjust the Aileron Power Control Unit

(1)
Adjust the power control unit:
(a)
Put the aileron control wheels and the trim control wheel in the neutral position.
(b)
Set the FLT CONTROL A and B switches on the pilot's overhead panel to the OFF position.
(c)
Install the rig pin A/S-4 (Fig. 502).
(d)
Make sure the valve lever on each of the power control unit is at the center between the valve stops. 1) If the valve levers are not at the center between the valve
stops, do these steps:
WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE THE VALVE ROD OF THE POWER CONTROL
_______ UNIT WITH HYDRAULIC POWER ON. IF YOU REMOVE THE VALVE ROD WITH HYDRAULIC POWER ON, INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
a) Make sure hydraulic systems A and B are released of pressure. b) Loosen the two locknuts on the valve rod.

c) Turn the adjustable sleeve to put the valve lever at the center between the valve stops.
NOTE:____ If you replace the valve rod, you must adjust the rod to the specified dimensions (Fig. 502), (IPC 27-11-14-01, OHM 27-37-09).
(e) Remove the rig pin A/S-4.
(2) S 865-004Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems A and B: "Aileron Hydraulic Systems A and B Pressurization" (AMM 27-11-00/201).
(3) S 865-006Set the FLT CONTROL A switch to the ON position.
(4) S 865-007Set the FLT CONTROL B switch to the OFF position. (a) Make sure the rig pin A/S-4 can move freely in its hole in the lower bus drum. 1) If the rig pin A/S-4 cannot move freely, adjust the valve rod:
CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE TO REMOVE THE RIG PIN A/S-4 BEFORE YOU ADJUST THE VALVE ROD. FAILURE TO REMOVE THE RIG PIN A/S-4 CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
