Install the Aileron Power Control Unit Linkage


 S 224-010
 (1)  
Do this task: "Aileron Power Control Unit Linkage Inspection/Check" (AMM 27-11-14/601).

 (2)  
Assemble the linkage:

 (a)  
Install the bus drum on the shaft with the lockbolts and collars.

 (b)  
Install the support assembly on the shaft.

 (c)  
Fill the top open area of the bearing with grease.

 (d)  
For system A linkage, do these steps: 1) Apply the corrosion preventive compound to the inner


 surface of the spacer. 2) Install the spacer on the shaft. 3) Fill all the empty spaces between the spacer and the shaft
 with the corrosion preventive compound.
 (e)  
For system B linkage, do these steps: 1) Apply the corrosion preventive compound to the inner surface of the spring cartridge lever. 2) Install the lever on the shaft with the bolt, washer, and nut.

 3)  Fill all the empty spaces between the spring cartridge lever and the shaft with corrosion preventive compound.

 (f)  
Apply the corrosion preventive compound to the spline surfaces of the lever assembly.

 (g)  
While you hold the reaction link horizontally, install the spacers and the lever assembly in the reaction link.

 (h)  
Install the reaction link, spacers, and lever assembly on the shaft with the bolt, washer, and nut.

 (i)  
Fill the top open area of the bearings with grease.

 (j)  
Apply the corrosion preventive compound to the inner surface to the support spacer.

 (k)  
Install the support spacer on the shaft.

TEMPERATURE OF |5`F FOR THE AIRFRAME TENSIONS CAN CHANGE +15/-30 POUNDS FROM THE
TEMPERATURE TO BECOME STABLE TABLE I VALUES. FOR THE CABLE TENSION CHECKS
THAT ARE THE RESULT OF THE SYSTEM DISCREPANCY

REPORTS, THE TENSIONS CAN CHANGE |15 POUNDS
