The first part (20 characters) of a 40 character report header line must be concluded with a slash ('/'). This indicates that the text shall appear in position 1 - 20 of the report line. The second part must be preceeded by a slash. This indicates that the following text shall appear in position 21 - 40 of the report header line. The operator may omit spaces at the end of the second part of the text line. If the operator enters more than 20 characters (excluding the slash). Or if there is more than one slash entered. Or there are characters entered on both sides of a slash, a 'FORMAT ERROR' will occur on the scratchpad. The insert procedure is shown on the following example: the text 'TREND REPORT DO NOT TRANSMIT' shall be inserted on the third header line of report No. 01.
-insert via scratchpad 'TREND REPORT DO NOT'
 -activate 3L key
 -insert via scratchpad 'TRANSMIT'
 -activate 3L key.
The menu 'AIDS REPORT HEADER' shows the complete inserted text
which will appear in line 3 of the report No. 01.
If there is already text programmed, this text appears
adjacent to L1, L3 and L5 of the menu 'AIDS REPORT HEADER'.

Programming the Report Limits
 (Ref. Fig. 034)
Several AIDS reports are scheduled to be generated when
parameter values exceed specified limits. The values for those
limits may be programmed via the MCDU. The procedure is as
 follows:

 -
select '<INDIVIDUAL REP PROG' on the AIDS Individual Report Programming Menu,

 -
select '<LIMITS' on Individual Report Programming Menu,

-the AIDS Report Limits Page comes on.
The DMU displays the default limits for each logic item on the left side of the screen, the associated logic item number in the middle of the page, then the associated airline specific programmed limit value on the right side of the same line. The DMU will display all the programmable limits appropriate for the report number shown on line 3. The default values and programmable values for all reports are stored in the RPMB.

If the report number is 6, the DMU presents the STALL TABLE option on the right hand side of line # 3. Activating this option allows the user to program the entire stall table used in this report. If the report number is 7, the DMU presents the OIL TABLE option on the right hand side of line # 3. Activating this option allows the user to program the entire oil table used in this report. If the report number is 15, th DMU presents the GWL TABLE option on the right hand side of line # 3. Activating this option allows the user to program the entire gross weight limit vs aircraft ID table used in this report.

If the operator selects the 'PROGRAMM ENTRIES' option by activating 3L, the menus described by 'REPORT STALL TABLE' appear. The operator may modify the P3 dot/corrected values via the scratchpad and by activating the LS keys. The values for the stall tables will be stored in the RPMB. Access code 3 and the appropriate pin programming is required to modify the values.
