 -
select '<DAR' on the AIDS DMU Programming Menu,

 -
select '<FORMAT' on the AIDS DAR Programming Menu,

-the AIDS DAR Format Modify Page comes on.
Enter on the scratchpad the related parameter which shall be recorded. Enter the 2L key to take over the parameter. vali entries for the LSB are from 11 to 21, valid entries for sign bits are 'Y' if bit 29 is used or 'N' if not. The values 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 and 32 can be selected as samples per second. If e.g. the operator wishes parameter '7C.1.345.01' bit 19 to 28 to be recorded with a sampling rate of 32 per second he has to enter via the scratchpad and the 2L key: '7C/1/345/01/19/N'. In addition he has to enter via the scratchpad and the 4L key '32'. Once all entries are verified, the DMU looks for an open set of slots to include the selected parameter into the DAR frame. The DMU responds with the messages 'NOT ENOUGH SLOTS' or 'ACKNOWLEDGE' in the scratchpad line. If a parameter is entered that has been entered previously during the present modifying procedure, the DMU displays the previously entered sampling rate. Then incorrect entries may be corrected. A modifying procedure will be finished by activating the RETURN. This will cause the DMU to send to the printer a report, which describes the slots in which the new parameters have been entered into. Selecting CLEAR PARAM allows the operator to delete a parameter from the DAR frame. The parameter must be defined exactly. Selecting CLEAR ALL will cause the DMU to present the menu described on figure 058. Activating the '* YES' will clear the entire 75 % of the programmable frame. The DMU will answer with an 'ACKNOWLEDGE' in the scratchpad.
 (b) DAR Speed Select Programming (Ref. Fig. 021) The operator select the speed of the DAR via the MCDU. The procedure is as follows:
 -
select '<DAR' on the AIDS DMU Programming Menu,

 -
select 'SPEED SELECT>' on the AIDS DAR Programming Menu,

-the AIDS DAR Speed Select Menu comes on.
A recording speed of 64, 128 and 256 words/second can be selected. The selected speed is displayed without an asterix.

 (c) DAR Documentation Frame Format (Ref. Fig. 022) The operator can initiate a print out of all programmed words in the DAR format. The procedure is as follows:
 -
select '<DAR' on the AIDS DMU Programming Menu,

 -
select '<DOC FORMAT' on the AIDS DAR Programming Menu,

-the AIDS DAR DOC Format Page comes on.
The programmed words with all of the associated characteristics that are programmed are listed in increasing numerical order. The (fixed) DFDR frame words are omitted. Scrolling causes one full new screen be presented by one scroll key push.
 (d) Programming DAR Run/Stop Time (Ref. Fig. 023) The operator can modify the DAR Run/Stop Times. The procedure is as follows:
 -
select '<DAR' on the AIDS DMU Programming Menu,

 -
select '<RUN/STOP TIME' on the AIDS DAR Programming Menu,

-the AIDS DAR Run/Stop Time Page comes on.
Enter characteristics of run/stop time via the scratchpad and by activating the appropriate LS keys. Valid entries for the run/stop times are 0 to 65535 seconds. The run time is the time the DAR shall run at the entry of the flight phase or after the stop time is over. The stop time is the time the DAR shall not run after the run time is over. E.g. a run time of 60 seconds and a stop time of 300 seconds in line 9 will cause the DAR to run for 1 minute at the begin of flight phase 2. Then stop for 5 minutes, restarted for 1 minute, stopped for 5 minutes, restarted for 1 minute etc. until the end of the flight phase.
 (e) Programming DAR Start/Stop Logic Conditions (Ref. Fig. 024) The operator can create up to 40 logic conditions which can be used for the start/stop logic for the DAR and/or the print reports. The procedure is as follows:
 -
select '<DAR' on the AIDS DMU Programming Menu,

 -
select '<START/STOP LOGIC' on the AIDS DAR Programming Menu,

-the AIDS DAR Start/Stop Logic Page comes on.
The logic contains of AND, OR, XOR, NAND and NOR.
