R  (9) Flight Phase Detection
R  (Ref. Fig. 007A)
R  The DMU divide the flight leg into seperate flight phases. The flight
R  phase determination is mainly based on the FWC (Param. 26.1.126.01 or
R  26.2.126.10 Bits 14 to 11). The determination of a new flight phase
R  is independent from the previously encountered flight phase.

R  (10) Data Filtering
R  The DMU contains software to perform data filtering for up to 200
R  parameters. The filtered parameters are used for logical decisions.
R  The filter characteristics are as shown below:

R  t
R  FO = OFV + -------* (NRV - OFV)
R  T

R  Where: FO = Filter Output
R  OFV = Old Filtered Value
R  t = Samples/sec
R  T = Filter Time Constant
R  NRV = New Raw Value

R  The time constant T is modifiable via the MCDU
R  For discrete words the appropriate bits are observed. Those bits
R  shall remain stable for at least 3 consecutive samples before
R  incorporating the new status into logic decisions.

R  (11) Remote Print Button Function
R  The remote print button function cause a generation of specified
R  print reports as a function of flight phase. The trigger is
R  reporgrammable via the MCDU.
R  The definition print report in which flight phase is generated in the
R  respecitive report trigger logic.

-Digital AIDS Recorder (DAR) Function (if DAR is installed)
 -Input/Output User Function
 -
GSE Readout Function

 -

 E. AIDS Reports The AIDS Reports are AIDS monitor functions which have fixed trigger mechanism, fixed data collection and fixed output formatting. These reports perform the basic aircraft monitoring functions which are required. These monitoring functions collect parameters for trend analysis of the engines, the aircraft and the APU. Aircraft data are also collected and automatically output during times of aircraft operational anomalies (e.g. engine over-temperature). If a report is triggered manually by the remote print button, then the report is immediately generated (independent of any other trigger logic). The manual or automatically generated reports (stored in the SSMM) can be transferred to the printer, the MDDU, the ACARS, PCMCIA and the DAR/SAR. Certain parameters for customer requirements are reprogrammable through the MCDU or by GSE. Following AI AIDS Reports are available:
