 (f) DAR Buffer Size Programming (Ref. Fig. 025) To enable pre-event data recording on the DAR a 120 sec history buffer is provided. The time for looking back is modifiable from 0 to 120 seconds. The procedure is as follows:
 -
select '<DAR' on the AIDS DMU Programming Menu,

 -
select '<BUFFER SIZE' on the AIDS DAR Programming Menu,

-the AIDS DAR Pre Enevt Buffer Page comes on.
The menu described in 'DAR PRE EVENT BUF' appears indicating the
current buffer size in line 5 in seconds. Enter the new buffer
size via the scratchpad and by activating 3L.
Valid entries are from 0 to 120 seconds in 4 second intervals.
Once the operator leaves the menu activating the RETURN, the DMU
will use a new buffer size.

 (2) Programming Trigger Conditions The operator can create up to 40 logic conditions which can be used for the start/stop logic for the DAR and/or the print reports. The procedure is as follows:
 -
select 'Dokumentat/ <PROGRAMMING' on the AIDS Menu,

 -
select '<PROGRAMMING MENUS' on the AIDS DMU Programming Menu,

 -
select '<TRIGGER CONDITIONS' on the AIDS DMU Programming Menu,

-the AIDS Trigger Conditions Menu comes on with two submenus:
 *
 SHOW CONDITION LIST

 *
 CREATE CONDITION

 (a)
Show Condition List (Ref. Fig. 026) When using the 1L key to show the Condition Liste, the logic conditions are displayed in numbered order. The condition numbers are presented in the most left column. Scrolling is available for displaying further conditions if programmed.

 (b)
 Create Conditions
 (Ref. Fig. 027)
The operator can create or modify trigger conditions.
 The procedure is as follows:

 -
select '<TRIGGER CONDITIONS' on the AIDS DMU Programming Menu,

 -
select '<CREATE CONDITION' on the AIDS Trigger Conditions Menu,

-the AIDS Trigger Condition Programming Page comes on.

Legal entries for the condition number are from 1 to 40. If the condition is presently programmed, the parameter and the conditions are displayed on the mask. The default condition display for initial entry is condition No. 1. The operator may fill the mask with the desired characteristics. Legal entries for TYPE are 'A' for alpha calls, 'P' for label call call-ups and 'D' for discretes. Legal entries for the alpha call-ups are described in the parameter's list. Legal entries for the BITS are from 0 to 16 or - if sign is used from 0 to 15. Legal entries for the conditions are to be seen in lines 11 and 12 of the menu 'AIDS TRIGGER COND PROG CONDITION'. For conditions involving discrete bits, only the EQUAL and NOT EQUAL relationships can be used. Only 1 condition per line can be entered. If it is desired to have a parameter or alpha call within a range of two values, 2 separate conditions must be defined. Invalid entries are discarded and indicated on the scratchpad by the message 'FORMAT ERROR'. The discrete conditions may be entered using more than 1 bit in the word. In this case the operator must define a mask to which the actual value shall be compared to. The states the operator can enter are '0', '1' and 'X' (X means don't care). E.g. if the user wants to compare bit 14 of parameter 7C.1.353.01 to the one state, then bit 18 to the zero state, he has to enter first a 'D' via the scratchpad and the 1R key. Then he must enter '7C/1/353/01/14' via the scratchpad and the 2L key. In addition he has to enter '/05' via scratchpad and the 3L key. To define the mask the entry must be 'E0XXX1' via scratchpad and the 4L key. 'SIGN' and 'ALPHA' is not used in this case. In this example condition No. 2 = true is detected when in parameter 7C.1.353.01 the state of bit 14 is one and the state of bit 18 is zero. The other bits in this parameter are not observed. The operator may change the condition previously programmed.
 (3) Programming Print Reports (Ref. Fig. 028) The options for programming or modifying the various PRINT REPORT functions can be selected on the AIDS Print Report submenu. The procedure is as follows:
