 G. AIDS DMU Programming The DMU software is programmable via the vendor application software 'Aircraft Monitoring Trigger and Action Language' (AMTAL). Via this software the user is able to programmable the DMU RPMB. The programmable function via MCDU is not implanted. In addition the CPU-2 board is configurable via AMTAL.

 The AMTAL Language System Via the AMTAL Language System the user is able to create new trigger conditions. Triggers can be written in uppon or lowcase, or a combination of cases. The AMTAL language is also free format, triggers can be written without regards to specific formatting considerations. For details see the vendor documentation.

 The DMU RPMB The Reprogrammable Memory Blocks (RPMB1 and RPMB2) are partitioned. RPMB1 is dedicated to AI specific data and RPMB2 is dedicated to airline specific data. These RPMB2 memory block can reprogrammed via AGS.

 H. AIDS Data Recording The FDIMU is able to record AIDS data on a external Digital AIDS Recorder (DAR) and on an FDIMU integrated Smart AIDS Recorder (SAR) or on the PCMCIA card. For the purpose of data recording the FDIMU provide 16 independent SAR recording channels on the SSMM. In addition 8 DAR Recording channels are provided. All record channels can be processed simultaneous. The recording is triggered either automatically from the report or manually from the MCDU or remote print button. The trigger condition is programmable through the GSE.

 H. AIDS Data Recording The DMU is able to record AIDS data on an external DAR (Digital AIDS Recorder) and/or a SAR (Smart AIDS Recorder) integrated in the DMU. The storage medium of the DAR is a magnetic tape cartridge or an optical disk, the SAR uses solid state mass memory (SSMM) for data storage. Continuous as well as intermittent (only DAR) or event controlled data recording is possible. Therefore a set of start and stop triggers are individually user programmable for each recording channel.
 J. Smart Access Recorder The SAR is a part of the DMU additional processor board (CPU-2). The memory is a 4.0 MByte Solid State Mass Memory (SSMM).
 The SAR function is controlled by CPU-2. To programmable the SAR is only
 possible via the Application Generation Station (AGS). There is no
 standard application provided on the CPU-2.
 To readout the SAR data the user can use a MDDU/PDL.
