-start the DAR by activating 5L.
The asterix then disappears from the left side of the screen and
appears on the right of the 'STOP*'.

-Activating 5R beside the 'STOP*' will cancel the manual run command. If the DAR was started it continues running until the stop logic is true. This means that the 'automatic run' and the 'manual run' are 'OR'ed together and the 'automatic stop' and the 'manual stop' are 'AND'ed together.
 (14) Generation, Print Out and Sending Reports to ACARS by Manual Request. (Ref. Fig. 060) Each AIDS report may be printed and/or transmitted to ACARS by manual request via the MCDU. In this case the report will be generated at once, independently of the logic otherwise programmed. The procedure is as follows:

select 'AIDS' on the MCDU Menu,

 -
select 'Man Req Rep <SEND/PRINT' on the AIDS Main Menu,

-the AIDS Manual Request Report Page comes on.
A list of all available AIDS reports is presented on the screen.
If the printer is available and not busy, a asterix appears besides
each report on the right side. If ACARS is available, a asterix
appears besides each report on the left side.
Activating the scroll key will cause all 10 lines to be rotated. In
the direction indicated in order to present the next five reports.

-Start the generation and the print out of the desired report by activating the appropriate LS key which is on the right of the screen (below 'PRINT').
If the report is sent to ACARS within 2 seconds the appropriate LS key on the left side has to be activated (below the 'SEND'). The asterixs then disappear from the screen as long as the printer and/or ACARS are occupied.
 (15) Print Out Stored Reports are Sent to ACARS by Manual Request (Ref. Fig. 061) AIDS reports which are stored in the print report buffer (maximal 10 reports), may be printed and/or transmitted to ACARS by manual request via the MCDU. The procedure is as follows:
 -
select 'AIDS' on MCDU Menu,

 -
select 'Stored Rep SEND/PRINT>' on the AIDS Main Menu,

-the AIDS Stored Report Page comes on.
A list of all stored AIDS reports is presented on the screen. Activating the scroll key will cause all 10 lines to be rotated, in the direction indicated in order to present the next 5 reports. Below each report some remarks can be displayed described as follows: 'DNLKD' means that the report was successfully downlinked by ACARS.
