The data areas for the EQID, SYS and system name will be blue if the correct access code for modification has been entered. Otherwise they will be green. The port numbers are displayed in white and no modification of these is allowed. The list of default port assignments can be found in table 2. All ports are listed in numerical increasing order. Scrolling allows the user to scroll through all of the 48 available ports. Valid port EQID and SDI entries are described in paragraph E. (6). Valid system names are any combination of 1 to 6 alphanumeric characters. The port assignments are stored internal to the DMU and will require access level 2 for modification. In the example is the ILS 1 system assigned to the spare port No. 16.
(10) Display of AIDS Previous Reports (Ref. Fig. 054) A list of the previous 20 reports generated by AIDS can be displayed on the MCDU. The procedure is as follows:
-
select 'AIDS' on the MCDU Menu,
-
select 'List Of PREV REP>' on the AIDS Main Menu,
-the AIDS Previous Report List comes on.
The information for each report consists of:
NO : number of the report, e.g. 01 means cruise report
CODE : describes the logic which has triggered the report
DATE : generation date
UTC : generation time
LEG : flight leg when the report was generated e.g. -01
means : report was generated during previous leg.
Scrolling displays the rest of the list of previous reports.
(11) Start/Stop of Special Reports by Manual Request (Ref. Fig. 055) Generation and printing the free programmable reports (numbers 16, 17, 18) can be started manually and stopped via the MCDU. In this case the report is generated at once, superseding the otherwise programmed logic. Stopping is only possible if the report was started manually. The procedure is as follows:
-
select 'AIDS' on MCDU Menu,
-
select '<Start Menu For <SPECIAL REPORTS' on the AIDS Main Menu,
-the AIDS Special Report Page comes on.

If the printer is available a asterix appears, beside each 'RUN'.
Start the print out of the desired report by activating the
appropriate LS key.
The asterix then disappear from the left side of the screen and one
asterix appears on the right of the 'STOP' of the selected report.
To stop the print out activate the LS key beside the 'STOP'.
The report will be stopped automatically when its maximal length is
reached.
(12) Second Processor Unit Function (CPU2) (Ref. Fig. 056, 057, 058) The functions are individually programmable via the Application Generation Station (AGS). All functions, triggers and limits are alternate via MCDU. To programm the CPU2 application see the detaile desription from the vendor. The procedure to alternate is as follows:
-
select '<CPU2' on the AIDS Menu,
-
select Dokumentat/ <PROGRAMMING' on the AIDS CPU2 menu,
-the Software version is displayed.
The standard programming function for the CPU2 Menu is Report 15. The menus are as follows:
*PRINT REPORT
*LIMITS
(13) Start/Stop of DAR by Manual Request (Ref. Fig. 059) Start and stop of the DAR can be initiated manually via the MCDU. In this case, the DAR will be started at once, regardless of the otherwise programmed logic. To stop the DAR manually is only possible if it was started manually.
