R (4) Additional Buses
R For the spare ARINC 429 inputs the DMU also enable parameter call up
R for display and programming. An ARINC 429 low speed bus is connected
R later and a correct equipment code (label 377) is transmitted the
R parameter call up work without additional programming. In this case
R the DMU interprete the SDI from label 377 as the system number.
R An additional bus, which transmits no EQ on label 377 or/and its data
R transmission speed is high or is connected to one of the spare
R inputs, the data speed (high/low), the EQ, the system name and the
R system number of the new bus is programmable via the MCDU for the
R appropriate port number. This enable that the new parameters can be
R identified by their parameter number for call-ups, logics and
R reports.
R
R (5) DMU Internal Selectable Parameter
R Internally the DMU processed parameter are referred to as "Internal
R Parameters". All internal parameters are identified by a parameter
R number consisting of the EQ/SYS/LABEL/SDI. For the DMU applications
R up to 256 internal parameters can be created. In addition the
R parameter can be assigned with an alpha call-up code for
R identification through AGS programming.
R
R Internal parameters are provided for:
R - DMU internal counter and timer,
R - Filtered Parameters,
R - Flags for certain flight conditions,
R - Report status words,
R - SAR channel words,
R - additional global computed variables defined by the user
R
R (6) Parameter Alpha Call-Up (ACU)
R For all the parameters for which an alpha code is mentioned in the
R parameter list. The selection is performed by their alpha codes.
R If parameters from two systems are available, both parameters are
R displayed on the MCDU upon a single alpha call-up code entry. The
R display values will refreshed once per second. All numeric type alpha
R call-up parameters will displayed on the MCDU in engineering units.
R The display format is a floating point representation of max. 6
R charakters including the decimal point and the '-' sign, if
R applicable. In case of positiv numbers without decimal point all 6
R characters shall be available for digits. Display of leading zero
R shall be suppressed. The applicable units shall be displayed below
R the alpha call-up code on the MCDU screen.
R 1EFF : 151-199, 201-210, 1 31-36-00Page 76 1 1 Config-2 May 01/05 1 1 1CES 1R Alpha call-up parameters, which consist of a combination of several R discrete bits or packed discretes will displayed in HEX. R Discrete alpha call-up parameters shall be displayed using English R status indications of max. 6 characters together with the actual bit R status. The unit indication on the MCDU screen shall be 'DISCRETE'. R
R (7) Additional Parameter R If a new label (parameter) is used in the DMU (for other than a R parameter label call-up) it must be programmed via the MCDU. R
R (8) Engineering Unit Conversion (EUC) R The DMU provide an 'Engineering Unit Conversion Table' to convert a R selected group of input parameters (same as supplied with alpha R call-ups) into the applicable engineering units. The appropriated R menu allows to add or modify these constants via the MCDU. No R provisions are provided to specify additional EUCs for non-linear R functions or BCD words. This modefication capability is scoped to R either ARINC 429 Binary Data or ARINC 429 Discrete Data. R R All parameters for which an alpha acronym is defined in the parameter R list is available for alpha call-up. With a single call-up system 1 R and 2 parameters are displayed in engineering units. R The DMU is observe bit 18 and bit 27 of DMC label 305. If bit 18 = 1, R then the parameter values are shown in print out and alpha call-up in
