Put the access platform in position at the access panel 312AR.

Open the access panel 312AR and set the light switch 3LJ to the ON postion.

A. Removal of the DFDR
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 31-33-55-991-001)
NOTE : Before you remove the DFDR for shop maintenance or repair you must
____ get the ECAM last leg report, the system last leg report and any class III faults.
(1) Loosen the knurled nuts (3) and release the attach tabs (2) of the DFDR (1).
(2) Remove carefully the DFDR (1) from the mounting tray (4) and make R sure that you do not damage the electrical connector pins.
(3) Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized.
(2) Make sure that the warning notices are in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
(3) Make sure that the access platform is in position at the access panel 312AR.
(4) Make sure that the access panel 312AR is open and the light switch 3LJ is set to the ON position.

4. Procedure

A. Installation of the DFDR
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 31-33-55-991-001)
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(5).
(4)
Install carefully the DFDR (1) into the mounting tray (4).
(5)
Make sure that the DFDR is correctly aligned to prevent damage to the electrical connection.
(6)
Put the knurled nuts (3) in position at the attach tabs (2) and tighten them.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 7TU.
