Individual Security Access Control is provided for:
 -
Each MCDU Menu

 -
Each AIDS Report

The default Security Access Levels are subdevide in 3 levels:
 -
Level 1: '+/MBB+

 -
Level 2: 'NMAIDS

 -
Level 3: '-AIB-'

The MCDU Security Access Matrix given below defines for all MCDU menus type of Security Users, for which the associated menu functions are enabled. The contents of the Security MCDU Access Matrix represents the AI Standard Setup of the delivered DMU software. It is possible to redefine the Security Access User assignment on the AGS by the use of the reconfiguration software. If a user has insufficient access priviliges for a menu, he is able to call-up the menu but not to initiate any functions or to modify any data.

 H. Parameter Label Call-Up (Ref. Fig. 017) Parameters which do not have an alpha code can be selected by their parameter number and then displayed it on the screen. The parameters and an explanation of the parameter number are contained in the parameter list. The procedure is as follows:
 -
Select '<AIDS' on MCDU Menu,

 -
Select 'CALL-UP <PARAM LAB' mode on the AIDS Main Menu,

-the AIDS Parameter Label Call-Up Page comes on,
-Enter parameter number via scratchpad and by activating the 1L key.
 (e.g. 1C/1/345/01/12)
Valid entries for the parameter number are as follows:
EQ : The ARINC 429 equipment identification is a three digit hexadecimal character. All three characters must be entered even if the most significiant characters are 0. Equipment codes listed in the parameters list and new EQ's if programmed according to paragraph (H).
SYS : The system number is a one character entry (only 1 to 4).
LAB : The ARINC 429 Label is a three-digit octal character entry. Valid entries are 000 to 377. Label entries are listed in the parameters list and those previously programmed according to paragraph (H). For new labels which are not programmed.
SDI : Source Destination Identifier: Valid entries are 00, 01, 10, 11 and 'XX'. 'XX' represents a case in which the DMU samples the parameter without looking at the SDI field.
/ : Isolate by entry the parameter in EQ/SYS/LAB/SDI
In addition to the parameter number, the number of data bits can be entered. Valid entries are from 1 to 18. If this number is omitted, the number 18 will be used as default. The line below the parameter number contains the label and the SDI from the parameter, which the DMU has found on the bus. In addition the decimal presentation of the value of bits 28 to 11 is displayed. If a number of data bits was entered, only the selected number of bits is taken into account, starting with bit 28. In the next dataline line 6 the SSM bits and the binary presentation of the selected parameter is displayed: Enter the parameter number via scratchpad and 4L key for an additional parameter if needed. Only 2 parameters are displayed on the MCDU menu. The values of the selected parameters are updated once per second.

 J. Parameter Alpha Call-Up (Ref. Fig. 018) For about 200 parameters the selection is possible by keying in the appropriate alpha code. The alpha codes are described in the parameters list. An overview of the standard alpha call-ups is shown in the parameters list. If additional alpha call-ups are programmed, they also can be used. The alpha code consists of 1, 2, 3 or 4 alphanumerics.
 (1) The procedure to select the Parameter Alpha Call-up Menu is as follows:
 -
Select '<AIDS' on the MCDU Menu,

 -
Select 'Call-Up PARM ALPHA>' on the AIDS Main Menu,

-the AIDS Parameter Alpha Call-Up page comes on,
 -
enter alpha code via scratchpad and 1LS keys,

 -
enter alpha codes for additional parameters if needed. Up to 5 parameters can be displayed at the same time.
