 (a) Programming the Remote Print Button (Ref. Fig. 029) Activating the remote print button on the pedestal will initiate generation and printing of one of the AIDS reports. Which of the AIDS reports at which flight phase shall appear can be modified via the MCDU. The procedure is as follows:
-select '<REMOTE PRINT BUTTON' on the AIDS Print Report Menu,
-the AIDS Remote Print Button Page comes on.
The DMU will display the report number of the report presently programmed to be generated in the associated flight phase. Only if the remote button is activated in the space of the left of the listed flight phase. The DMU will also display a 'Y' for Yes or a 'N' for No on the right of the flight phase. This indicates the report counter of the associated report to be incremented when generated by a remote print. The user may change the report programmed for a flight phase. By entering the new report number on the scratchpad, and activating the LS key adjacent to the flight phase that the report is to be generated in. The user may also change a report if the reports counter should be incremented. By entering eigher a 'Y' for Yes or a 'N' for No on the scratchpad. Then activating the LS key on the right side of the appropriate report. All entries shall be stored permanently upon activating the 'RETURN' option. On line 3, the DMU displays the present state of the print report rule. Also it shows whether or not the rule applies to the associated programmed reports when the Remote Print Button is pressed.
Adjacent to the other state will be a asterix '*' indicating that option may be chosen. If the option with the asterix adjacent to it is chosen, its asterix will be removed by the DMU. Then placed adjacent to the other option and the state of the flag will change. If programming is not allowed on this page, no changing of the status of this function is allowed. Valid entries for the Report Number are 1 thru 15 and 19 excluding 3, 8 and 12. Report numbers (16, 17 and/or 18) shall only be considered valid if those reports have been programmed.

 (b) Programming the Report Inhibit (Ref. Fig. 030) The procedure for programming of the general report inhibit is as follows:
-select '<REP INHIB' on the AIDS Print Report Menu,
-the AIDS Report Inhibit Page comes on.
On lines 5, 7, 9 and 11 the DMU will display the present state of whether or not the generation, storing, printing or linking (respectively) of all reports, shall occur when any trigger logic for a report becomes true. Adjacent to the other state will be a asterix '*' indicating that that option may be chosen. If the option with the asterix adjacent to it is chosen by activating one of the LS keys, its asterix will be removed by the DMU and placed adjacent to the other option. If the NO option is chosen for any of the options, the DMU will not perform the stated function. Not for any report generated under any circumstances. The AIDS Report Inhibit Menu shows the standard programming. It means that there is no inhibit for generation, storing and printing of reports. But there is an inhibit for the automatically link to ACARS of the reports. Modification of the Report Inhibit programming requires the level 1 access code.
 (c) Programming Special Reports (Create Report) (Ref. Fig. 031) The content and the start logic of Reports No. 16, 17 and 18 are free programmable. The procedure for programming the report contents is as follows:
-select '<CREATE REPORT' on the AIDS Print Report Menu,
-the AIDS Create Report Page comes on.
The DMU presents the report number under the term 'REPORT #'. To change the report number the operator may activate the 'NEXT PAGE' button or enter his desired report number via the scratchpad, and activating the 1L key (only 16, 17 or 18 are allowed). The operator is required to enter via the scratchpad and the appropriate LS keys, all characteristics of the parameters which shall appear in the report. Also the position on the print line where they shall occur.
