 (8) Programming the Access Code (Ref. Fig. 048)
The operator may modify the access codes needed to operate the
 various programming levels.
 The procedure is as follows:

-select '<ACCESS CODE' on the AIDS DMU Programming Menu,
-the AIDS Access Code Midify Page comes on. The code can be any combination of 1 to 6 alphanumeric characters. Once the new code is typed in on the MCDU scratchpad. The operator may enter it by activating the LS key adjacent to the desired level. The DMU displays the new code in the shown space. The operator finalizes the code by leaving the menu by activating the 6L key (RETURN). Only then will the DMU replace the selected code. The DMU will only display or allow modification of codes accessable by the code entered on the 'ACCESS CODE' entry page. E.g. the DMU will not allow viewing or modification of level 2 and 3 codes. Also will not display the level 2 and 3 headers if the level 1 access was entered before.
 (9) AIDS DMU Call-Up Programming (Ref. Fig. 049)
The option for modifying or programming the different Call-Ups can be selected on the AIDS Call-Up Modify Menu. The procedure is as follows:
-select 'CALL-UP>' on the AIDS DMU Programming Menu,
-the AIDS Call Up Modify Menu comes on with 4 submenus:
 *
 FILTER CONSTANTS

 *
 ALPHA CALL UPS

 *
 PARAMETER CALL UPS

 *
 LRU ASSIGNMENTS

 (a) Programming the DMU Filter Constants (Ref. Fig. 050) The operator can modify the DMU Filter Constants. The procedure is as follows:
 -
select 'CALL-UP>' on the AIDS DMU Programming Menu,.

 -
select '<FILTER CONSTANTS' on the AIDS Call-Up Modify Menu,

-the AIDS Filter Constant Programming Page comes on.
-enter characteristics of Filter Constants via the scratchpad.

To modify a filter constant the operator must enter one of the filtered alpha call-ups and the system number. This is via the scratchpad and the 2L key. If a valid call-up and system are entered, the DMU displays the value of the associated filter constant t/T times multiplied with 100. For example, the value 23 will be displayed as 23. The operator may modify the constant by entering a new filter constant value into the scratchpad by using the same format as the displayed value and activating the 4L key. The entering number divided by 100 is the actual filter value. If the entered number is valid, the DMU stores it in a temporary buffer until the operator leaves the page. This is done by activating the RETURN option. The DMU will store all alpha call-ups and associated filter constants which are in the temporary buffer. The operator may disable filtering by setting the filter constant for a given parameter to 0. Valid entries for filter constants are 0 to 100. The operator is required to have access level 2 for modification rights.
 (b) Programming the DMU Alpha Call-Ups (ACU) (Ref. Fig. 051) The procedure for programming the DMU Alpha Call-Ups is as follows:
 -
select 'CALL UP>' on the AIDS DMU Programming Menu,

 -
select '<ALPHA CALL-UPS' on the AIDS CALL UP Modify Menu,

-the AIDS Alpha Programming Page comes on.
 -
enter the DMU Alpha Call-Up via the scratchpad and by
 activating the 1L key.

 -
enter the parameter number and the LSB and the number of bits, (which shall be taken into account), via the scratchpad and by activating the 2L key.

 -
enter the Engineering Unit Conversion factor (EUC) via the scratchpad and by activating the 3L key.

 -
enter the number of integer digits, the number of fraction digits and the desired sign status (via the scratchpad) and by activating the 5L key.
