 (1)
History Buffer There is a 20 s history buffer (pre event buffer) for 1000 parameters with an average sampling rate of 4 per second. This buffer is intended to supply data for incorporation into the AIDS reports.

 (2)
Temporary Buffer for Manual Reports For reports generated manually through the MCDU for printing or ACARS download a report buffer for one report is provided.

 (3)
Report Storage A non-volatile memory for storage of at least 65 AIDS reports is provided.

 (4)
Overall Report Definition The following definitions are basically applicable to each AI AIDS Report:

 -
Report number (two digit)

 -
Report name (18 alphanumeric string)

R 1EFF : 106-149, 211-299, 301-399, 401-499, 1 31-36-00Page 81 1 1 Config-2 Aug 01/05 1 1 1CES 1

-Print report format programable text (2 header lines)
 -Overall report inhibit (enable/disable)
 -Engine specific trigger inhibits
 -
Maximum number of automatically generated reports per flight

 -
Maximum number of SSMM stored reports

 (5) Report Trigger Definition For each AI Standard AIDS Report, general and specific trigger definition (Trigger Codes) are performed (e.g. exceedance, stability, peak) and are GSE reprogrammable. Within fixed trigger logics only certain constants and limits are reprogrammable (refer to report definition).
 (a) Manual Report Request The FDIMU provides a report selection menu via the MCDU to enable manual selection of reports for immediate generation and output to one of the following destinations:
Output Device | Output Rule _______________|_________________________
 -Printer | Print Immediately
 -ACARS | Downlink Immediately
 -MDDU | Dump Immediately
 -SAR/PCMCIA | Store Immediately
 (b)
Manual Report Trigger via Remote Print Button A remote print button function causes a generation of specified print reports as a function of flight phase. The respective report trigger logic and the information about incrementing or not incrementing the appropriate report counter is programmable via GSE.

 (c)
 Programmable Report Trigger
 Each trigger logic consists of:

 -
A programmable trigger logic code

 -
A programmable trigger logic tree Trigger logic trees consist of parameter conditions. The following available combination of parameter conditions are possible: 'AND', 'NAND', 'OR', 'NOR', 'XOR' and 'NOT'

The number of parameter conditions per logic tree is variable, as long as the limitation of 256 parameter conditions is not exceeded. Parameter conditions have numerical parameters, discrete parameters and hex parameters. In case of Numerical Parameters the result of the parameters condition are determined by a

 (6)
Report Output AIDS reports are retrieved by several different output devices (Printer, ACARS Down Link, MDDU).

 (7)
Output Rule For each AIDS report it is possible to program the applicable output rule via GSE. It is also possible via GSE to define an individual output rule for each type of trigger condition of a report, which is identified by the 4 digit trigger code.

 (a)
Output Rule No. 1.1 The report is stored in the non-volatile report buffer until there is a request for retrieval (e.g. print out, dump on PDL disk, ACARS downlink). After retrieval independent of selected output device the report is marked for deletion.

 (b)
Output Rule No. 2.1 The report is stored in the non-volatile report buffer. As soon as the printer is ready to accept data, the report is printed out and marked for deletion.

 (c)
Output Rule No. 2.2 The report is stored in the non-volatile report buffer and printed out at the end of the flight. After printout, the report is marked for deletion.
