AMP1-1 Acquisition-/Management-Processor for DFDRS-Function The AMP1-1 performs the FDIU-function of the FDIMU. Its primary function is to acquire and to process data for the mandatory DFDRS. The AMP1-1 is able to process and send data in frames to the DFDR and to the QAR at rates of 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024 or 2048 Words/s.

AMP1-2 Acquisition-/Management-Processor for AIDS-Function The AMP1-2 performs the DMU-function of the FDIMU. It provides the fully programmable AIDS-functionality. The AMP1-2 receives data from external A/C-systems through ARINC-429 broadcast-busses and discrete inputs. The AIDS generates reports based on specific trigger-conditions in the A/C-data. It provides data recording capabilities to the DAR (internal PCMCIA card or external) and programmable reporting-functions. The AMP1-2 also communicates with several external devices via dedicated ARINC-429

(3) PCMCIA Daughter-Board The PCMCIA Daughter-Board provides a PCMCIA-interface for:
-Storing/Recording of raw- and message-data.
-Up- and Down-Loading of FDIMU-Software.
The PCMCIA Daughter-Board is placed on the AMP1-2. You have access to
the PCMCIA-interface after you open the access-door at the front of
the FDIMU.
Also there is an Ethernet-Interface on the PCMCIA Daughter-Board.

Power-Supply Module The FDIMU is supplied by the A/C 115VAC 400Hz single-phase power. It can tolerate a power-interrupt up to t=200ms without any bad operation. The power-consumption of the FDIMU is less than 30 Watts. The FDIMU power-supply module generates all voltages for the FDIMU internal use.

Motherboard The motherboard is the interface between the AMP1-1 Processor, the AMP1-2 Processor, the power-supply module and the ARINC-Connector-Card. (The PCMCIA- and the Ethernet-Interface are placed on the AMP1-2.)

ARINC-Connector-Card The ARINC-Connector-Card is the interface between the Motherboard and the Input-/Output-Connectors.

ARINC-600 Standard-Connector The ARINC-600 Standard-Connector is placed on the ARINC-Connector-Card.

Test-Connector A test-connector is placed at the front of the FDIMU (behind the access-door). The test-connector provides:
