R  Most of these reports allow a change in the trigger limits or in the 
R  length of the report. In addition user specific trigger conditions 
R  can be created for each report by the use of the GSE based 
R  reconfiguration software. In addition to the above listed standard 
R  reports additional complete new reports can be programmed by the 
R  airline user.

R  The DMU is able to record AIDS data either by the use of the DAR, the 
R  SAR or the integrated PCMCIA interface. 
R  The storage medium of the DAR is a magnetic tape cartridge or an 
R  optical disk while the SAR stores the data in an Solid State Mass 
R  Memory. To store data via the PCMCIA interface, a PCMCIA Card in MS 
R  DOS format is necessary. 
R  To read out the SAR data, use a floppy disk via the PDL or a PCMCIA 
R  Card via the PCMCIA interface. 
R 
R  The DMU provides various communication interface for operator 
R  dialogue and ground communications. The usage of these communication 
R  channels is mostly programmable. For example, reports can be either 
R  printed out, transmitted to the ground via ACARS or retrieved by the 
R  use of a floppy disk via the PDL. That means each airline user can 
R  setup the DMU to support most efficiently the airline specific data 
R  link structure.
