F. Pitot Probe Installation Test
SUBTASK 27-31-94-760-001
(1) Measure the resistance between the strut of the pitot probe [8] and the airplane skin with a
bonding meter, COM-1550.
(a) If the resistance is more than 0.010 ohms, do these steps:
1) Remove the pitot probe [8].
2) Clean the bonding surfaces, including the countersunk holes in the pitot probe [8]
(SWPM 20-20-00).
3) Replace the bolts with new bolts.
4) Re-install the pitot probe [8].
5) Measure the resistance between the strut of the pitot probe [8] and the airplane skin
with a bonding meter, COM-1550.
6) If the resistance is more than 0.010 ohms, do these steps:
a) Remove the pitot probe [8].
b) Replace the nutplates and rivets that attach the pitot probe [8] (SRM 51-40-02).
c) Reinstall the pitot probe [8] and make sure the bonding resistance is not more than
0.010 ohm.

Remove the safety tag and close this circuit breaker:

(1) Do this task: Supply External Power, TASK 24-22-00-860-813

(2) Do a test of the number 1 stall warning system:
NOTE: The amber SPD LIM light on the on-side Primary Flight Display will come on. The
MASTER CAUTION light will come on if the Yaw Damper switch is ‘‘disengaged/off’’.
This will not occur on 285A1010-7 SMYD units. A SPD LIM annunciation that stays on
more than 5 seconds after the stick shaker operates could be a problem.
(a) Push and hold the STALL WARNING TEST NO. 1 switch on the stall warning test module
(P5-18 panel).
(b) Make sure that the captain’s control column shaker operates.
(c) Release the switch.
(d) Make sure that the shaker stops.

(3) Do a test of the number 2 stall warning system:
NOTE: The amber SPD LIM light on the on-side Primary Flight Display will come on. The
