1) Move the first officer’s control column to the neutral position.
2) Make sure the lights on the test box, SPL-1685 agree with the Table 514 below:

9) Set the control column to the neutral position.
(h) Set the POWER, MAIN MOTOR CUTOUT, and AUTOPILOT CLUTCH CUTOUT switches on
the test box, SPL-1685 to the OFF position.
(i) Disconnect the test box connectors from the first officer’s cutout switch.
(j) Connect the electrical connectors D3124 and D2257 to the first officer’s cutout switch.
(k) Remove the test box, SPL-1685 from the first officer’s control column.
(l) Remove the control column assembly protractor, SPL-1680 from the first officer’s control
column.

HORIZONTAL STABILIZER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of a horizontal stabilizer
(2) An installation of a horizontal stabilizer.
B. You can remove and install the horizontal stabilizer with or without the elevator and elevator tab.
C. This procedure is applicable for the left and right horizontal stabilizers.
