SUBTASK 27-31-71-420-001
(1) Install the torque tube [18]:
(a) Hold the torque tube [18] in its position.
(b) Attach the torque tube [18] to the support structure:
1) Install the bushings [53], bolt assemblies [35], washers [34], washers [51], washers
[52], and nuts [50].
a) Tighten the nuts [50] to 90-105 pound-inches (10.2-11.9 newton-meters).
CAUTION: DO NOT TIGHTEN THE NUT [48] AGAIN AFTER YOU TIGHTEN THE NUT
[50]. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
2) Install the washers [49] and nuts [50].
a) Tighten the nuts [50] to 30-35 pound-inches (3.4-3.9 newton-meters).
CAUTION: EXAMINE THE INNER AND THE OUTER RODS/BOLTS FOR DAMAGE BEFORE
YOU INSTALL THE ROD END BOLTS. DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(c) Connect the torque tube [18] to the two reaction links [37]:
1) Install the bushings [45], bolts [44], washers [46], and nuts [47].
NOTE: Install the left bolt (on the left assembly) with the bolt head inboard and the
right bolt (on the right assembly) with the bolt head outboard.
