(1) Make sure that pressure is removed from the elevator hydraulic systems A and B. To remove it,
do this task: Remove Pressure from the Elevator Hydraulic Systems A and B,
TASK 27-31-00-800-802.

(2) Use the bar, SPL-1677 to make sure that the B dimension is at 39.89 +/- 0.01 inches (1013.21 +/-
0.25 millimeters) (Figure 401).

(3) If the packings, filters, unions, and reducers are not installed in the elevator feel computer
assembly [1], then do these steps:
(a) Lightly lubricate the new packings with fluid, D00153.
(b) Install these items in the elevator feel computer assembly [1]:
1) The packings [9] and reducers [10] to the fittings for the computer pressure lines
2) The filters [11], new packings [12], and unions [13] to the fittings for the hydraulic lines
3) The new packings [14] and unions [15] to the fittings for the return lines
4) The new packings [17] and unions [18] to the fittings for the static lines
5) The new packings [19] and unions [20] to the fittings for the pitot lines.

(4) Remove the pin, SPL-1673 from the input arm [8] and the elevator feel computer assembly [1].

(5) Install the rig pin E-4 from the test set rig pin kit, SPL-1585 in the input arm [8] and the elevator
feel computer assembly [1].

(6) Install the elevator feel computer assembly [1]:
(a) Put the elevator feel computer assembly [1] in its position.
(b) Install the bolts [3], washers [4] (under the bolt), washers [5] (under the nut), and nuts [6] to
attach the elevator feel computer assembly [1] to the airplane structure.
(c) Connect the stabilizer pushrod [2] to the input arm [8]:
1) If you cannot install the bolt [21], do these steps to adjust the length of the stabilizer
pushrod [2]:
a) Loosen the checknut [24] on the stabilizer pushrod [2].
b) Turn the rod end fitting of the stabilizer pushrod [2] until you can install the bolt [21]
easily by hand.
