b) Release the STAB TRIM switches.
5) Push the STAB TRIM switches on the captain’s control wheel to the NOSE UP position

STAB TRIM switches to the NOSE DOWN position.
8) Push and hold the STAB TRIM switches on the captain’s control wheel to the NOSE
DOWN position until the system comes to the full trim speed.
a) Move the STAB TRIM switches momentarily to OFF and then to the NOSE UP
position.

STAB TRIM switches to the NOSE UP position.
(b) Set the flaps to the full up position.
1) Push and hold the STAB TRIM switches on the captain’s control wheel to the NOSE
DOWN position.
a) Make sure the stabilizer leading edge moves up.
b) Release the STAB TRIM switches.
2) Push and hold the STAB TRIM switches on the captain’s control wheel to the NOSE UP
position.
a) Make sure the stabilizer leading edge moves down.
b) Release the STAB TRIM switches.
3) Push and hold the STAB TRIM switches on the first officer’s control wheel to the NOSE
DOWN position.
a) Make sure the stabilizer leading edge moves up.
b) Release the STAB TRIM switches.
4) Push and hold the STAB TRIM switches on the first officer’s control wheel to the NOSE
UP position.
a) Make sure the stabilizer leading edge moves down.
b) Release the STAB TRIM switches.
5) Push the STAB TRIM switches on the captain’s control wheel to the NOSE UP position
until it stops and then to the NOSE DOWN position until it stops.
GUN 101-122
a) Make sure the time for the stabilizer to move from its lower limit of travel to its
upper limit of travel is 46-56 seconds.
GUN 001-099, 155-157, 201-999
b) Make sure the time for the stabilizer to move from its lower limit of travel to its
upper limit of travel is 47-58 seconds.
GUN ALL
c) Make sure that the operation is smooth and there is no unusual noise.
6) Use the STAB TRIM switches on the captain’s control wheel to move the stabilizer
many times in the two directions, one after the other, for 3 seconds each.

9) Move and hold the STAB TRIM switches on the captain’s control wheel to the NOSE UP
position.
a) Make sure the stabilizer leading edge moves down.
b) Set the main cutout switch, S272, to the CUTOUT position.
c) Make sure that the movement of the stabilizer stops immediately.
d) Set the main cutout switch, S272, to the NORMAL position.
e) Make sure the stabilizer continues to move.
f) Release the STAB TRIM switches.
