(j) Tighten the new nuts [52] to 90 - 100 pound-inches (10.2 - 11.3 newton-meters) and install
new pins [51] in the end of the bolts [47].

(k) Tighten the new nut [45] to 50 - 80 pound-inches (5.7 - 9.0 newton-meters) and install a new
pin [44].
NOTE: Make sure the new nut [45] stays tightened to 50 - 80 pound-inches (5.7 - 9.0
newton-meters) after alignment of the nut [45] and bolt [40] cotter pin hole.

(l) Tighten the new nut [45] to 90 - 100 pound-inches (10.2 - 11.3 newton-meters) and install a

(m) Install the bushings [32], bolts [33], washers [31], and new nuts [30] to connect the tab
pushrods [25] to the elevator tab assembly [22].
NOTE: The inboard bolt is installed with the head inboard and the outboard bolt is
installed with the head outboard.

CAUTION: IF THE NEW NUTS [30] ARE NOT TIGHTENED CORRECTLY, THEN THE PUSHRODS
CAN BECOME DISCONNECTED AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELEVATOR AND
STABILIZER.
(n) Tighten the new nuts [30] to 30 - 50 pound-inches (3.4 - 5.7 newton-meters) and install new
pins [53].
NOTE: Make sure the new nuts [30] stay tightened to 30 - 50 pound-inches (3.4 - 5.7
newton-meters) after alignment of the nut [30] and bolt [33] cotter pin hole.
