NOTE: The bolt assembly [112] is installed through the circular access hole in the
tailcone.
2) Tighten the nut [111] to 500 - 600 pound-inches (56.5 - 67.8 newton-meters).
CAUTION: DO NOT TIGHTEN THE NUT [111] AGAIN AFTER YOU TIGHTEN THE NUT
[110], YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
3) Install the nut [110].
4) Tighten the nut [110] to 150 - 220 pound-inches (17.0 - 24.9 newton-meters).

(3) If you used the sling, SPL-2034 to support the elevator assembly, do the following to remove the
sling, SPL-2034 from the elevator installation [1] (Figure 403):
(a) Remove the fasteners to disconnect the forward sling fittings from the elevator
installation [1].
(b) Remove the forward sling fittings from the elevator installation [1].
(c) Install the bolts [3] on the elevator installation [1].
(d) Remove the aft sling fitting from the elevator installation [1].
