(e) Tighten the new nuts [47] to 70 - 80 pound-inches (7.9 - 9.0 newton-meters).

(f) Install the screws [48] to attach the pin retainers [49] to the elevator tab control mechanism
[32].
(g) Install the bushings [27], bolts [28], washers [26] and new nuts [25] to connect the tab
pushrods [29] to the elevator tab [22].
NOTE: The inboard bolt is installed with the head inboard and the outboard bolt is
installed with the head outboard.

CAUTION: IF THE NEW NUTS [25] ARE NOT TIGHTENED CORRECTLY, THEN THE PUSHRODS

(h) Tighten the new nuts [25] to 30 - 50 pound-inches (3.4 - 5.7 newton-meters) and install new
pins [53].
NOTE: Make sure the new nuts [25] stay tightened to 30 - 50 pound-inches (3.4 - 5.7
newton-meters) after alignment of the nut [25] and cotter pin hole in the bolt [28].

pins [53] in the anti-rotation boss at the head of the bolt [28].

removed the elevator tab pushrods. To adjust them, do this task: Elevator Tab Pushrods -
