F. Elevator Feel Actuator Removal
SUBTASK 27-31-67-020-001
WARNING: RELEASE THE CONNECTION SLOWLY AND LET THE PRESSURE DECREASE BEFORE
YOU COMPLETELY REMOVE THE HYDRAULIC LINE. IF YOU DISCONNECT THE
HYDRAULIC LINE WHEN IT HAS PRESSURE, A SPRAY OF HYDRAULIC FLUID CAN
CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(1) Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the Elevator Feel Actuator [3] Figure 401.
(a) Install the caps and plugs on the open ports and hydraulic lines. Discard the packings [11]
and the packings [15].

(2) Remove the Elevator Feel Actuator [3] from the elevator feel and centering unit [1]:
(a) Remove nut [20], washer [21], nut [22], washer [23], and bolt assembly [24] from the aft
connection of the Elevator Feel Actuator [3].
(b) Remove the nut [17], washer [18], bushing [19], and slide block [16] from the anti-rotation
fitting [6].
(c) Remove the nut [10], washer [9], nut [8], washer [7], spacer [5], anti-rotation fitting [6], and
bolt assembly [4] from the forward connection of the Elevator Feel Actuator [3].
(d) Remove the Elevator Feel Actuator [3].

(1) If it is necessary, do these steps to install the new packings, unions, and reducer:
(a) Lubricate the new packings, unions, and reducer with fluid, D00153.
(b) Install the new packings [11], new packings [15], unions [12], union [14], and reducer [13] to
the Elevator Feel Actuator [3].

(2) Install the Elevator Feel Actuator [3]:
(a) Put and hold the Elevator Feel Actuator [3] in its position.
