CAUTION: YOU MUST INSTALL THE SAFETY PIN, F80153-1 IN THE RIG PIN HOLE OF THE
ELEVATOR FEEL COMPUTER. IF THE ELEVATOR FEEL COMPUTER IS NOT
ATTACHED TO THE INPUT ARM, IT CAN BE EASILY DAMAGED WHEN IT IS
REMOVED.
(5) Install the pin, SPL-1673 in the input arm [8] and the elevator feel computer assembly [1].
F. Elevator Feel Computer Removal
SUBTASK 27-31-37-020-001
CAUTION: DO NOT LIFT THE ELEVATOR FEEL COMPUTER BY THE INPUT ARM, OR APPLY A
TORQUE OF MORE THAN 300 POUND-INCHES (33.9 NEWTON-METERS) TO THE INPUT
ARM. THE ELEVATOR FEEL COMPUTER IS VERY SENSITIVE AND IT CAN EASILY BE
DAMAGED.
(1) Remove the elevator feel computer assembly [1]:
(a) Disconnect the spring [16] from the elevator feel computer assembly [1].
(b) Remove the nut [23], washer [22], and bolt [21] to disconnect the stabilizer pushrod [2] from
the input arm [8].
(c) Disconnect the electrical connector [7] from the elevator feel computer assembly [1].
WARNING: RELEASE THE CONNECTION SLOWLY AND LET THE PRESSURE DECREASE
BEFORE YOU COMPLETELY REMOVE THE HYDRAULIC LINE, IF YOU
DISCONNECT THE HYDRAULIC LINE WHEN IT HAS PRESSURE, A SPRAY OF
HYDRAULIC FLUID CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(d) Disconnect the hydraulic lines, pitot lines, and static lines from the elevator feel computer
assembly [1].
NOTE: Install tags on lines and port fittings to clearly show the correct connection
location. See (Flareless Tubing Assembly Removal, TASK 20-10-51-000-801) for
instructions on correct tubing removal.

(e) Install caps to the hydraulic lines, pitot lines, and static lines.
(f) Install plugs to all ports.
(g) Remove the nuts [6], washers [5], washers [4], and bolts [3] that attach the elevator feel
computer assembly [1] to the airplane structure.
(h) Remove the elevator feel computer assembly [1] from the airplane.
