12) Move the captain’s control column aft approximately 2 degrees and release.
a) Make sure the right elevator trailing edge aligns with the index mark in 0.00 +/-
0.12 inch (0.0 +/- 3.0 mm).

(18) Adjust the elevator tab pushrods by doing the following:
NOTE: If the elevator tabs, tab control mechanism, or tab rods have not been replaced,
repaired or modified, and no adjustments to the tab pushrods have been made, then it
is not necessary to do the adjustment of the elevator tab pushrods in the following step.
Do the elevator position transmitter installation test.
(a) Do this task: Elevator Tab Pushrods - Adjustment, TASK 27-31-00-820-805.
NOTE: If the elevator tab position measurements were recorded in the elevator removal
steps, then adjust the elevator and tab control system to the position measured
prior to removal.
(b) Do this task: Elevator Position Transmitter Installation Test, TASK 31-31-51-700-801.
(c) Do this task: Manual Mode - Test, TASK 27-31-00-700-807.
(d) Do this task: Elevator Surface Friction and Balance - Test, TASK 27-31-00-700-802.
(e) For the left elevator, install this access panel:
