(3) Remove the thrust brace fitting [51] from the hinge fitting [24]:
(a) Remove the nuts [50], washers [49], washers [48], and bolts [47] that attach the thrust brace
fitting [51] to the hinge fitting [24].
NOTE: Use a marker or pen to make marks on the thrust brace fitting [51] to help make
the installation easier. Do not use sharp objects to make marks.
(b) Remove the thrust brace fitting [51] and shim [46].

(4) Remove the fail safe link [10] from the hinge fitting [24]:
(a) Remove the nuts [7], washers [5], washers [6], bolt [4], and bolt [9].
(b) Remove the bonding jumper [8].
(c) Remove the pin [56], nut [15], washer [14], washer [13], and bolt [12]. Discard the pin [56].
(d) Remove the fail safe link [10] and filler [11].

(5) Remove the hinge fitting [24]:
(a) Remove the bolts [52] from the bracket [53].

(b) Remove the bolts [54] from the bracket [55].
(c) Remove the pin [33], nut [32], washer [31], washer [30], and bolt [29] from the hinge fitting
[24]. Discard the pin [33].
(d) Remove the pin [45], nut [44], washer [43], washer [42], and bolt [41] from the hinge fitting
[24]. Discard the pin [45].
(e) Remove the hinge fitting [24] from the airplane.
