A 10s fines del presente Convenio se entiende por:
a) "Servicio aCreo", todo servicio atreo regular realizado
por aeronaves de transporte pliblico de pasajeros,
correo o carga.
b) "Servicio atreo intemacional", el servicio atreo
que pasa por el espacio aCreo sobre el tekitorio de m6s de
un Estado.
C) "Linea akrea", toda empresa de transporte aCreo
que ofrezca o explote un servicio aCreo internacional.
d) "Escala para fines no comerciales", el aterrizaje
para fines ajenos a1 embarque o desembarque de pasajeros,
carga o correo.

Governments of all the States which may sign or adhere to this
Convention. This Convention shall be open for signature at
Washington, D.C.*

on 17 August 1999. The original text read as follows:

sa 22' session, le 30 septembre 1977; il est entrt en vigueur le
17 aoQt 1999. Le texte original se lisait comme suit:
"DONE at Chicago the seventh day of December 1944 in the
English language. A text drawn up in the English, French and
Spanish languages, each ofwhich shall be of equal authenticity, shall
be open for signature at Washington, D.C. Both texts shall be

HRMA DEL CONVENIO
EN FE DE LO CUAL, 10s plenipotenciarios que suscriben,
debidamente autorizados, firman el presente Convenio en
nombre de sus Gobiernos respectivos en las fechas que
aparecen frente a sus firmas.
HECHO en Chicago, el dia siete de diciembre de 1944, en el
idioma inglts. Los textos del presente Convenio, redactados en
10s idiomas espaiiol, francts, inglts y mso, tendr6n igual
autenticidad. Dichos textos ser6n depositados en 10s archivos
del Gobierno de 10s Estados Unidos de Amtrica, el cual
transmitirh copias certificadas a 10s Gobiemos de todos 10s
Estados que finnen o se adhieran a tl. El presente Convenio
quedar6 abierto para la firma en Washington, D.C.*
