Article 24
Customs dup
a) Aircraft on a flight to, from, or across the territory of
another contracting State shall be admitted temporarily free of
duty, subject to the customs regulations of the State. Fuel,
lubricating oils, spare parts, regular equipment and aircraft
stores on board an aircraft of a contracting State, on arrival in
the territory of another contracting State and retained on board
on leaving the territory of that State shall be exempt from
customs duty, inspection fees or similar national or local duties
and charges. This exemption shall not apply to any quantities
or articles unloaded, except in accordance with the customs
regulations of the State, which may require that they shall be
kept under customs supervision.
b) Spare parts and equipment imported into the territory
of a contracting State for incorporation in or use on an aircraft
of another contracting State engaged in international air navigation
shall be admitted free of customs duty, subject to
compliance with the regulations of the State concerned, which
may provide that the articles shall be kept under customs
supervision and control.
Article 25
Aircrafr in distress
Each contracting State undertakes to provide such measures
of assistance to aircraft in distress in its territory as it may find
practicable, and to permit, subject to control by its own
authorities, the owners of the aircraft or authorities of the State
in which the aircraft is registered to provide such measures of
assistance as may be necessitated by the circumstances. Each
contracting State, when undertaking search for missing aircraft,
will collaborate in coordinated measures which may be
recommended from time to time pursuant to this Convention.
Article 24
Droits de douane
a) Au cours d'un vol B destination ou en provenance du
territoire d'un autre tat contractant ou transitant par ce
territoire, tout aironef est temporairement admis en franchise
de droits, sous rCserve des rkglements douaniers de cet tat.
Le carburant, les huiles lubrifiantes, les pikces de rechange,
I'Cquipement habitue1 et les provisions de bord se trouvant
dans un aCronef d'un tat contractant B son arrivCe sur le
territoire d'un autre tat contractant et s'y trouvant encore lors
de son dCpart de ce territoire, sont exempts des droits de
douane, frais de visite ou autres droits et redevances similaires
imposCs par 1'~taotu les autorites locales. Cette exemption ne
s'applique pas aux quantitts ou aux objets dCchargts, B moins
que ne I'admettent les rkglements douaniers de ta tat, qui
peuvent exiger que ces quantitCs ou objets soient places sous
la surveillance de la douane.
b) Les pikes de rechange et le matiriel importCs dans le
territoire d'un tat contractant pour Etre installCs ou utilisks sur
un aCronef d'un autre tat contractant employ6 B la navigation
akrienne internationale sont admis en franchise de droits de
douane, sous riserve de I'observation des reglements de tat
intCressC, qui peuvent disposer que ces objets sont placCs sous
la surveillance et le contr6le de la douane.
Article 25
Chaque tat contractant s'engage B prendre les mesures
qu'il jugera rtalisables afin de porter assistance aux aCronefs
en dCtresse sur son territoire et, sous rCserve du contr6le par ses
propres autoritCs, B permettre aux propriktaires de I'aCronef ou
aux autoritCs de ta tat dans lequel I'aCronef est immatricult de
prendre les mesures d'assistance nCcessitCes par les circonstances.
Chaque tat contractant entreprenant la recherche
d'aCronefs disparus collaborera aux mesures coordonntes
qui pourraient Ctre recommandCes en vertu de la prCsente
Convention.
