Make sure that no fault messages show.
(c)
Continue with the instructions shown on the CDU until this message shows:
ENGAGE AUTOPILOT L C R
TO CMD POSITION
(d)
Push the applicable autopilot CMD (L, C, or R) button on the Mode Control Panel.
NOTE:____The left EAS is connected to the left FCC. The center EAS is connected to the center FCC. The right EAS is connected to the right FCC.
(e)
Push the LSK that is adjacent to <CONTINUE.
(f)
Make sure that no fault message shows for the channel that you engage.
NOTE: Fault messages (ENGAGE FAIL) shown for the other
____ channels that you did not engage is permitted.

Put the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL 1, 2, and 3 switches to the SHUTOFF position. These switches can be found on the Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel (P461).
