Put the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER WING 1, 2, 3,AND 4 switches tothe SHUTOFF position. The switches are on the Pilot's Overhead Maintenance Panel (P461).

Open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7D12, FLT CONT CMPTR C SERVO
2) 7D13, FLT CONT CMPTR C PWR
3) 7E9, MCP L
4) 7E18, MCP R

Put in the #2 and #3 rigging pins (Fig. 401).
(7)
Install the control wheel straightedge tool (Fig. 401).

F. Procedure

(1) Remove the LAS.
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector from the LAS (6). Put caps on the electrical connector and on the LAS electrical port.
(b)
Put a bucket under the area where the hydraulic lines are attached to the LAS.
WARNING: DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID GET INTO YOUR EYES, MOUTH, OR
_______ ONTO YOUR SKIN. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE INJURY.
(c)
Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the LAS (6) and drain the fluid into the bucket.
(d)
Put caps on the hydraulic lines and on the LAS hydraulic ports.
(e)
Remove the bolt (1) and the bushing (2) that connect the control rod to the LAS crank arm.
(f)
Hold the LAS (6) and remove the mounting bolts (3), the washers (4), and the nuts (5).
(g)
Remove the LAS (6).
