 AUTOMATIC STABILIZER TRIM SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is for the operational test of the Automatic Stabilizer Trim System. The second task is for the system test of the Automatic Stabilizer Trim System.
 (1)  
The operational test contains the Existing Faults Check and the Stab Trim Ground Test. The Existing Faults Check makes sure that there are no failures in the Stabilizer Trim/Rudder Ratio Modules (SRMs). The Stab Trim Ground Test makes sure that the FCC can send signals to the SRMs and the stabilizer trim control modules to move the horizontal stabilizer in the up and down directions. It makes sure that the autotrim mode of the SRMs operates correctly.

 (2)  
The system test uses the Central Maintenance Computer System (CMCS) to examine the interfaces of the automatic stabilizer trim system. It makes sure that the automatic stabilizer trim system operates correctly.


 B.  You can use one of the Control Display Units (CDU) to start the CMCS tests. The printer (optional) permits you to make a copy of the results of the CMCS tests. This printer is on the aft electronics control panel (P8).
 C.  When you do the operational test or the system test, make sure these systems are serviceable:
 (1)  
Integrated Display System (AMM 31-61-00/501).

 (2)  
Air Data System (AMM 34-12-00/501).

 (3)  
Inertial Reference System (AMM 34-21-00/501).

 (4)  
Radio Altimeter System (AMM 34-33-00/501).

 (5)  
Flight Management Computer System (AMM 34-61-00/501).

 (6)  
Central Maintenance Computer System (AMM 45-10-00/501).

 A.  General
