INTERLOCK

 (a)  Five pins are provided to prevent the use of FCCs with incompatible part numbers.

 (3)  
OPTION GROUP 1

 (a)  The five binary coded customer option pins define the particular customer's performance requirements. For example, gains or limits are changed from standard values.

 (4)  
OPTION GROUP 2

 (a)  
Autopilot Mode Engage

 1)  The autopilot will engage into the current F/D modes (with the exception of takeoff or go-around) when it is initially placed in CMD. If the flight directors were off or the F/D modes were TO or G/A, the A/P modes will initially be V/S and HDG HOLD. G/S and LOC active modes transition to V/S and HDG HOLD and the glideslope and localizer will be rearmed.

 (b)  
Full-Time No Land 3
 1) The autoland capability is displayed full-time.


 (c)  
Method 1/Method 2

 1)  After APP mode is selected all off-line channels automatically arm for multi-channel operation and dot-bar matrices on the A/P ENGAGE CMD switch/lights illuminate.

Lateral Command Engage Option (LCEO)

 


 1)  When the autopilot is engaged in CMD or the F/D is turned ON, the A/P or F/D engages into HDG HOLD mode.
 (5)  OPTION GROUP 3
 (a)  
Full Time F/D

 1)  The F/D command bars are displayed if either or both flight directors are turned on regardless of A/P channel engagement.

 (b)  
F/D Auto On

 1)  This provides for automatic F/D selection following a Go-Around initiated during a manual approach.

 (c)  
F/D Display on ROLLOUT 1) F/D commands not displayed during ROLLOUT engage mode.

 (6)  OPTION GROUP 4
 (a)  Single Source Autopilot
 1)  Autopilot will engage (single channel only) with only one valid source of stab position and only one source of IRS data, only if that channel was a valid local stab position and valid local IRS data.
 (7)  
PARITY

 (a)  The parity pin provides odd parity for the total of program pin ground connections to meet ARINC 429 standards.

 (8)  
Channel Identification


 (a)  Two pin connections on each FCC shelf identify the FCC channnel as L, C, or R.
