2) Each FLT DIR source select switch is a three-position, rotary switch which provides a ground to the left, center or right FCC. This enables the selected FCC to supply computed F/D signals to all EIUs. The switch position is also routed to the EIUs so the selected F/D source is displayed on the appropriate PFD.
(b) EICAS FMC Switch
1) The EICAS FMC switch provides an input to all FCCs to indicate use of True Heading in lieu of Magnetic Heading for navigation purposes. This is used when magnetic heading is lost or diminished at extreme north and south latitudes.
(3) The ILS, IRS, and RA interfaces are shown in Figure 6. These are all critical sensors. No switching of information between channels is possible.
(a) IRS
1) The IRS source select switches do not control IRU inputs to FCCs, they control switching of attitude display signals.
(4) The FMC, ADC and switching involved with the systems are shown in Figure 7. These are non-critical sensors.

FMC
1) The FMC master switch in L position supplies FMC-L input to all FCCs, with the switch in the R position FMC-R supplies input to all FCCs.
(b)
ADC
1) The left ADC supplies left and center FCCs when the Captain's ADC source select switch is in the normal position. When the Captain's ADC source select switch is set to ALTN, the Captain's ADC relay switches the left and center FCCs from the left ADC to the center ADC.
2) The right ADC supplies the right FCC when the F/O's ADC source select switch is in the normal position. When the F/O's ADC source select switch is set to ALTN, the F/O ADC relay switches the right FCC from the right ADC to the center ADC.
