MAINTENANCE MANUAL
(2)
The left and right autopilot servos in the CLCPs receive hydraulic power from system 3 and 2 respectively.
(3)
The LAS receives hydraulic power from system 1.
C. Rudder Components
(1)
The center, right, and left RPCPs receive hydraulic power from system 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
(2)
The upper and lower RPCMs each receives hydraulic power from two systems. The upper RPCM receives power from systems 1 and 3; the lower RPCM from systems 2 and 4. The RPCMs supply the hydraulic control to the rudder actuators.
(3)
The upper and lower yaw damper actuators in the RPCMs receive hydraulic power from system 3 and 2 respectively.
D. Elevator Components
(1)
The left and right STCMs receive hydraulic power from system 3 and 2 respectively.
(2)
The center, right, and left EASs receive hydraulic power from system 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
8. Operation
_________
A. Aileron Control System (Fig. 14)
(1) Manual Input
(a)
The primary manual input for roll control is from the captain's control wheel. Control wheel input is transmitted to the trim and feel mechanism and to the CLCPs through the left body cables. The CLCPs are connected together by the input limiter bus rod. The trim and feel mechanism provides artificial feel and centering as well as trim.
(b)
The first officer's control wheel drives the primary system with the cables between the captain's and first officer's bus drum assemblies. Inputs are conditioned by the trim and feel mechanism connected to the captain's input torque tube assembly.
(c)
The CLCPs provide hydraulic boost to reduce the forces required to move the control cables. The output of the CLCPs provide the input to the aileron programmers. The aileron programmers then drive the control cables connected to the aileron power control packages. Redundant control paths are provided by the right body cables, output limiter bus rod, and the backdrive rod.
