Put the rig pin through the control rod assembly and the RPCP mounting base.

If the rig pin does not go through easily, adjust the length of the clevis/tube assembly.
(a) Do these steps for the fine adjustment: 1) Loosen the checknuts. 2) Turn the sleeve a maximum of two turns until you can put
the rig pin through the hole. Tighten the check nuts.
NOTE: A maximum length of 1.15 inches is permitted between
____ the sleeve and the tube.
(b) If the fine adjustment is not sufficient, do these steps for the coarse adjustment: 1) Loosen the checknuts. 2) Remove the bonded-bolt assembly through the clevis and the
override mechanism. 3) Turn the clevis assembly a maximum of two turns until you can put the rig pin through the hole.
NOTE: One completed turn changes the length of the
____ assembly 0.042 inches. A maximum length of 1.52 inches is permitted between the clevis thread and the tube.
4) Connect the clevis to the override mechanism.
CAUTION: DO NOT TIGHTEN THE LARGE NUT AGAIN AFTER YOU TIGHTEN
_______ THE SMALL NUT. DAMAGE TO THE BONDED-BOLT ASSEMBLY CAN OCCUR.
(c) Tighten the large nut to 60-80 pound-inches and the small nut to 30-40 pound-inches. 1) Do the fine adjustment if it is necessary.

Remove the rig pins.
