 (2)  S 865-145Make sure the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL 1, 2, 3, and 4 switches are in the NORM position. These switches are on the Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel (P461).
 (3)  S 865-146Make sure the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER WING 1, 2, 3, and 4 switches are in the NORM position. These switches are on the Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel (P461).
 (4)  S 865-147Supply pressure to the auxiliary pitot system to 350 knots (Ref 34-11-00/201).
 (5)  S 865-148Set the stabilizer to 6 units of trim.
 (6)  S 745-149Do this check on the elevator rigging: (a) Push the LSK adjacent to <GROUND TESTS from the CMC MENU page on the CDU. (b) Push the LSK adjacent to <22 AUTOPILOT FLT DIR from the GROUND TESTS SYSTEMS page on the CDU. (c) Push the LSK adjacent to <XDUCER OUTPUTS from the GROUND TESTS MENU page on the CDU. (d) Push the LSK adjacent to <ADVANCE until you find the elevator surface position display. (e) Write down the values for the elevator surface position:
 L ______ ,  C ______ ,  R ______ .
 (f)  Make sure that the values for the left, cernter and right channels with the column released are 0.0 degree.
 NOTE:____ If the values are not at 0.0 degree, do the elevator rigging until all the values are at 0.0 degree (AMM 22-12-01/401).

Remove pressure from the auxiliary pitot system (Ref 34-11-00/201).

 (8)  
Do the elevator servo test:

 (a)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <SERVO-ELEVATOR from the GROUND TESTS MENU page on the CDU.

 (b)  
Continue with the instructions shown on the CDU to complete the test.

 (c)  
Make sure that the SERVO-ELEVATOR test is completed with no failure.

 


 NOTE: An autopilot disconnect warning will occur at the
____ end of this test, which is permitted.
 (d)  Push the captain's or first officer's autopilot disconnect switch two times.

 (9)  Do this check on the elevator triple channel surface limits:
 (a)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <ELV SURFACE LIMIT from the GROUND TESTS MENU page on the CDU.

 (b)  
Make sure that there is no failure indication shows on the CDU.

 (c)  
Continue with the instructions on the CDU until the POSITIVE LIMIT and NEGATIVE LIMIT page is shown.

 (d)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <POSITIVE LIMIT for the positive surface limit positions.

 (e)  
Write down the values for the elevator surface position:

 L ______ , C ______ , R ______ .

 (f)  
Make sure that the values for the left, center, and right channels are +9.0 degrees (minimum).

 (g)  
Make sure that the control columns stay at the positive limit and the AUTOPILOT DISC does not show on the main EICAS display.

 (h)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <CONTINUE on the CDU to go back to the POSITIVE LIMIT and NEGATIVE LIMIT page.

 (i)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <NEGATIVE LIMIT for the negative surface limit positions.

 (j)  
Write down the values for the elevator surface position:

 L ______ , C ______ , R ______ .

 (k)  
Make sure that the values for the left, center, and right channels are -20.0 degrees (minimum).

 (l)  
Make sure that the control columns stay at the negative limit and the AUTOPILOT DISC does not show on the main EICAS display.
