Mode Control Panel (MCP), installed (AMM 22-11-02/201).

 (g)  
Flight Control Computer (FCC), serviceable (AMM 22-11-01/401).

 (h)  
Control Display Unit (CDU), serviceable (AMM 34-61-02/401).

 (i)  
Flight Management Computer (FMC), serviceable (AMM 34-61-00/501).

Supply the hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic systems NO. 1, 2, 3, and 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Make sure the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL 1, 2, 3, and 4 switches are in the NORM position. These switches are on the Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel (P461).

Make sure the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER WING 1, 2, 3, and 4 switches are in the NORM position. These switches are on the Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel (P461).


Existing Faults

Push the line select key (LSK) adjacent to <EXISTING FAULTS from the CMC MENU page on the CDU.

Make sure that <22 AUTOPILT FLT DIR does not show on the EXISTING FAULTS MENU page on the CDU.


 NOTE: If no failure occurs, <22 AUTOPILOT FLT DIR does not show on

Do this task: Ground Test - Mode Control PanelAutopilot Engage/Disengage Operation

Make sure the radio altitude display on the PFD is less than 2 feet.
