 F. Valve Installation
 S 422-054
 (1)  Do these steps to install the valve:
 CAUTION:  DO NOT LET THE HYDRAULIC FLUID GET INTO THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE AND/OR FAILURE OF THE DEVICE.
 (a)  
Remove the covers from the electrical and hydraulic openings on the LAS.

 (b)  
Clean the mating surfaces of the valve and the LAS with clean hydraulic fluid.

 (c)  
Apply a thin layer of MCS352 lubricant to the new seal and the O-ring.

 (d)  
Install the new O-ring on the valve (AMM 20-11-19/401).

 (e)  
Put the gasket plate on the LAS.

 (f)  
Install the valve on the LAS with mounting bolts and washers. Tighten the mounting bolts to 50-70 pound-inches.

 (g)  
Use the bonding meter to make sure that the resistance between the valve and the LAS body is 0.005 ohms or less (AMM 20-11-28/401).

 (h)  
Put the lockwire through the mounting bolts (AMM 20-11-28/401).

Put the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER WING 1, 2, 3, and 4 switches to the NORM position. The switches are found on the Pilots Overhead Maintenace Panel (P461).
