 3. System Test - Automatic Stabilizer Trim System

 A. General
 (1)  
The system test contains the procedures for each interface test of the automatic stabilizer trim system. It makes sure that the automatic stabilizer trim system operates correctly.

 (2)  
These are the procedures of the system test of the automatic stabilizer trim system:

 (a)  
SRM Valid and Unscheduled Trim Crossfeed Check

 (b)  
Speed Trim Engage and Valid Trim Command Crossfeed Check

 (c)  
Autotrim Engage ARM and CONTROL Crossfeed Check

Control Display Unit (CDU), serviceable (AMM 34-61-02/401).

 (d)  
Hydraulic Pressure Supplied (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (e)  
IRUs must be in the NAV mode (AMM 34-21-00/201).

 (f)  
P7, Circuit Breaker Panel, installed (AMM 11-17-01/201).

 (g)  
Flight Control Computer (FCC), serviceable (AMM 22-11-01/401).

 (h)  
Flight Management Computer (FMC), serviceable (AMM 34-61-00/501).


 E. Prepare for the System Test

 (2)  Align the left, center and right IRUs in the NAV mode
 (AMM 34-21-00/201).

 NOTE:____It takes approximately 10 minutes to align the IRS. You can continue to prepare for the system test while you align the IRS.

Make sure the STAB TRIM 2 and 3 switches on the pilots' control stand are in the AUTO position.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (1)  Supply hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic systems N0. 1, 2, 3 and 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).
