 (1)  Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  Supply the hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic systems NO. 1, 2, 3 and 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).
 NOTE: The hydraulic system NO. 4 is optional.

Make sure the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL 1, 2, 3 and 4 switches are in the NORM position. These switches are on the Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel (P461).

Make sure the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER WING 1, 2, 3 and 4 switches are in the NORM position. These switches are on the Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel (P461).


 F. Automatic Stabilizer Trim Test

 (1)  
Set the STAB TRIM 2 and 3 switches on Pilots' Control Stand to the AUTO position.

 (2)  
Use the manual trim switches (captain's or first officer's) on the Pilots' Control Wheel to set the stabilizer to 6 units of trim.

 (3)  
Do this check on the stabilizer surface position:

 (a)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <GROUND TEST from the CMC MENU page on the CDU.

 (b)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <22 AUTOPILOT FLT DIR from the GROUND TEST SYSTEMS page on the CDU.

 (c)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <XDUCER OUTPUTS from the GROUND TESTS MENU page on the CDU.

 (d)  
Continue with the instructions on the CDU to get the values for the stabilizer surface position.

 (e)  
Write down the values for the stabilizer surface position:

 L ______ DEG., C ______ DEG., R ______ DEG.

 (f)  
Make sure that the values (left, center, and right channels) are between -2.7 and -3.3 degrees.

 (g)  
Make sure that the difference between channels (L-R, R-C, and L-C) is not more than 0.3 degree.

 (4)  Do the stabilizer trim test:
 (a)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <GROUND TESTS from the CMC MENU page on the CDU.

 (b)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <22 AUTOPILOT FLT DIR from the GROUND TESTS page on the CDU.

Push the LSK adjacent to <STAB TRIM from the GROUND TESTS MENU page on the CDU.

 (d)  
Continue with the instructions on the CDU to get the stabilizer position for the FCC-L.

 (e)  
Write down the stabilizer position for the FCC-L:

 L ______ DEG.

 (f)  
Make sure that the stabilizer position for the FCC-L is between -10.2 and -10.9 degrees.

 (g)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <CONTINUE (or ADVANCE).

 (h)  
Push the captain's or first officer's autopilot disconnect switch two times.

 (i)  
Continue with the instructions on the CDU to get the stabilizer position for the FCC-R.

 (j)  
Write down the stabilizer position for the FCC-R:

 R ______ DEG.

 (k)  
Make sure that the stabilizer position for the FCC-R is between -10.2 and -10.9 degrees.

 (l)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <CONTINUE (or ADVANCE).

 (m)  
Push the captain's or first officer's autopilot disconnect switch two times.
