MODAL SUPPRESSION ACCELEROMETER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General________
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is for the removal of a modal suppression accelerometer. The second task is for the installation of a modal suppression accelerometer.
B. There are four modal suppression accelerometers. The procedure is the same for each modal suppression accelerometer.
C. You can find the left and the right forward accelerometers (M7953, M7954) at station 320 (LBL/RBL 85, WL 194.68) below the main deck floor. You can find the left and the right aft accelerometers (M7955, M7956) at station 2260 (LBL/RBL 65, WL 194.68) below the main deck floor.

(2) Remove the applicable panel in the main deck floor (Ref 53-21-02/401).
NOTE: You can get to the forward accelerometers and do not have
____ to open the main deck floor. Get into the electrical and electronics compartment and then go forward. The forward accelerometers are on the forward side of the station 320 bulkhead.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the accelerometer.
