 (2)  When the test is completed, look for PASS or FAIL> adjacent to <FLAP XDUCER.
 NOTE: If a PASS indication shows, no failures occurred during the

 (a)  If FAIL> shows: 1) Push the LSK that is adjacent to FAIL> to see the GROUND TEST MSG pages for the failure. 2) Push the NEXT PAGE key until you find all the GROUND TEST MSG pages. 3) Make a list of all CMCS messages, CMCS message numbers, and ATA numbers that show on the GROUND TEST MSG pages.
 4)  Go to the CMCS Message Index of the Fault Isolation Manual (FIM) to find the corrective action for each CMCS message.
 G.  Put the Airplane in Its Usual Condition

Remove hydraulic power if it is not necessary (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 16. Ground Test - Stabilizer Trim

 A.  General
 (1)  This test is for a check of the stabilizer trim. It makes sure that the stabilizer position is correctly sent to the FCC by the flap control unit. During this test, the stabilizer moves in the two directions. The stabilizer also moves in the nose-up direction and the final position is shown.

 (d)  
Control Display Unit (CDU), serviceable (AMM 34-61-02/401).

 (e)  
Pilot's Overhead Maintenance Panel (P461), installed.

 (f)  
Flight Control Computer (FCC), serviceable (AMM 22-11-01/401).

 (g)  
Flap Control Unit (FCU), serviceable (AMM 27-51-51/401).


 E. Prepare for the Test

 (1)  Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  Supply the hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic systems NO. 1, 2, 3 and 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).
 NOTE: The hydraulic system NO. 4 is optional.

Make sure the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER TAIL 1, 2, 3 and 4 switches are in the NORM position. These switches are on the Pilots' Overhead Maintenance Panel (P461).
