IRUs must be in the NAV mode (AMM 34-21-00/201).
(c)
P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel, installed (AMM 11-17-01/201).
(d)
Overhead Panel (P5), serviceable (AMM 11-20-03/201).
(e)
Flight Control Computer (FCC), serviceable (AMM 22-11-01/401).
(f)
Flight Management Computer (FMC), serviceable (AMM 34-61-00/501).
D. Procedure

Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Align the left, center and right IRUs in the NAV mode (Ref 34-21-00/201).

Push and release the engage switch of the upper yaw damper (P5) to engage the upper yaw damper system. Make sure that the ON annunciator comes on and the INOP annunciator is off.

Push and release the engage switch of the lower yaw damper (P5) to engage the lower yaw damper system. Make sure that the ON annunciator comes on and the INOP annunciator is off.

(6) Open the 7C09 UPR YAW DAMPER circuit breaker on the P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel.

(7) Make sure that the INOP annunciator of the upper yaw damper on the Overhead Panel (P5) comes on.

(8) Make sure that the YAW DAMPER UPR indication in amber shows on the main EICAS display: (a) Set the EIU SEL switch on the P2-2 panel to the L position. (b) Make sure that the YAW DAMPER UPR indication (amber) stays. (c) Set the EIU SEL switch on the P2-2 panel to the C position. (d) Make sure that the YAW DAMPER UPR indication (amber) stays . (e) Set the EIU SEL switch on the P2-2 panel to the R position. (f) Make sure that the YAW DAMPER UPR indication (amber) stays.
